After-school Montessori
Program
Montessori elementary years – the years from six to twelve – are distinguished by the individually paced curriculum that challenges children academically while ensuring their well-being and sense of self. Children learn to question, think critically, and become contributing members of a respectful community.
The curriculum centered on Cosmic Education, stems from the fundamental story of the Five Great Lessons;
The Story of the Universe, The Story of Life, The Coming of Humans, The Story of Numbers, The Story of Communication.
As part of our Montessori Elementary program, children develop physical and emotional skills while delving into these specialized subjects:
- Language Arts
- Mathematics
- Advance Practical Life
- Botany
- Matter and Astronomy
- History
- Geography
- Zoology
- Health, Art & Music
Here is the schedule for our after-school Montessori Program:
2pm to 2.30pm Arrival of after-school care students
2.30 – 5.30pm Montessori 3-hour Work Cycle, inclusive of
- Meal Preparations (Light Meals)
- Setting of table
- Preparation of ingredient
- Dining and washing up
- Wei Qi Class (Chinese Surround Chess)
- Topics of MOE syllabus using the Montessori Approach
- Cultural Affairs
- Going out activities – Library visits, Sports & Group Exercise, Visits to Community places
